The Opportunity:
The Material Handler is primarily responsible for receiving materials, material movement, and maintaining accurate transactions of material movement. This includes verifying packing slips against purchase orders to ensure correct components and quantities at initial receipt, addressing any discrepancies with the buyer or materials manager, maintaining accurate and orderly inventory, and assisting with cycle counting and physical inventory. The IRS also works closely with Quality Assurance and Manufacturing to ensure that parts kits are available when and where needed. This is an onsite position in New Prague, MN.
Job Outcomes You Must Get:
- Verify receipts against approved purchase orders.
- Handle RMA material upon receipt, documenting appropriate data in ERP system
- Count and sort all inbound goods and inspecting certain items against the engineering reference library.
- Locate materials in the warehouse in timely and an orderly manner.
- Control material movements and record transactions in an accurate and timely manner.
- Kit materials for manufacturing to ensure parts are available when and where needed.
- Provide material handling support to ensure patient shipments are achieved.
- Report performance metrics. Identify and implement opportunities for improvement.
- Participation in Lean manufacturing training and teams.
- Follow Electromed's documented processes as it relates to material identification, movement, and transactions.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of inventory management or material handling experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, and related software applications.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents, inventory records, and work instructions.
- Proven math skills with the ability to calculate, verify, and reconcile inventory accurately.
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem solving skills.
- Proven ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required as well as bend, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Must live within commutable distance to New Prague, MN.
