The Opportunity:
The Human Resources Generalist supports the daily operations of the HR department, including hiring, onboarding, offboarding, and employee changes. This role also involves administering compensation, benefits, and leave programs, as well as implementing and upholding company policies and procedures. Additionally, the HR Generalist serves as a liaison with the PEO vendor and provides recruitment support as needed. This position partners with employees and managers and assists with HR business partner needs, organizational development, and employee relations. This position is responsible for HR operations, metrics, and appropriate communications of results, as well as ensuring compliance and adherence to government regulated reporting and compliance with federal, state regulations. This is a hybrid position based in New Prague, MN.

Job Outcomes You Must Get:
  • Sustain and deliver a dynamic and effective onboarding program designed to increase engagement and retention.
  • Administer the goal setting review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity. Track completion of goals and help achieve 100% completion.
  • Maintain monthly human resource metrics and reporting.
  • Serve as a liaison in employee relations for all employees, partnering with the VPHR on how to navigate situations and seek resolution. Knowledgeable on HR legal employee issues, EEOC and AAP compliance and administration, state, and federal regulations.
  • Focus and manage employee engagement initiatives to include special event planning, wellness initiatives, and employee recognition programs.
  • Enter and maintain data within Insperity for new hires, employment changes, terminations, benefit enrollment, leave of absences to include vendor sites such as Fidelity.
  • Work with accounting to approve payroll and track changes per pay period.
  • Recruitment: Participate in assisting in interviewing, sourcing candidates, offers when necessary, working with Recruitment Manager.
  • Perform credentialing and employment eligibility verification as needed for the sales organization.
  • Perform compliance requirements.
  • Track and maintain HR vendors, costs, renewals, and negotiations.
  • Maintain accuracy of personnel files.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Outcomes Requirements:
  • BS degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 5 years+ HR experience preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge in all areas of Human Resources. Must have a broad knowledge of HR practices and procedures.
  • Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail. Must have adaptability skills in high growth environment.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience in dealing with employee issues and employee relations successfully.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, independent worker.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite or related software, excel, HRIS and ATS systems.
  • PEO vendor experienced preferred.

Salary range is $60,000-$75,000 annually plus employee bonus with the final agreed upon compensation to be based on individual qualifications and experience.
